Hierarchy algebraic methods of optics design

Optical components are standardized and digitalized by the principal parameters of wavefront aberrations, based on which an optical system is modelled by a set of algebraic equations and optical design is carried out by organizing and solving the equations in a hierarchy. The methods offer great advantages in modularizing optics design, by bringing complexity to simplicity. Moreover, by a tensor form of aberration representation,  the methods offer not only high performance but also conducive accesses to AI optimization for optics and optical system design. 

Software-defined optics technologies

The software-defined optics technologies design optics and optical signal processing simultaneously to leverage on the advantages and mitigate the disadvantages at both sides. Physical measurands of interest are purposely coded with spectral wavefront aberrations which are then detected by the sparsity based spectrum processing techniques with high sensitivity. With aids of high-speed electronics, optical signal processing software and optics and electronics hardware are implemented in one sensing device. Our patented optical interleaving technique and spectrum shaping technique enlarges signal capacity, increases measurement range, and accelerates processing speed.
